The FBI accuses Marc Anthony Bru, arrested in Vancouver, Washington, of storming the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021 Federal agents have arrested a Washington man accused of breaching the U.S Capitol on Jan. 6, pushing past law enforcement officers and entering the Senate gallery. Marc Anthony Bru, 41, made his first appearance in U.S. District Court in Portland on Wednesday afternoon after his arrest Tuesday in Vancouver. An arrest warrant affidavit contains photos and video screenshots that prosecutors allege show Bru flashing the “OK” white power hand symbol while attending a pro-Trump rally in Washington, D.C., on Jan. 6, then marching with a crowd to the Capitol before moving through a line of officers outside the building. One photo shows Bru dressed in a black zipped-up sweatshirt, with plastic swim goggles around his neck and the black antenna of a walkie-talkie radio clipped to the inside of his sweatshirt while standing amid a crowd inside the Capitol, FBI agent Julianna Dippold wrote in the affidavit. About 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 6, video footage shows Bru enter the Senate gallery and later leave, according to the affidavit. This photograph was included with the FBI arrest warrant affidavit filed in federal court to support changes against Marc Anthony Bru, arrested in Vancouver, Washington, related to the storming the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. The FBI circled the man they believe to be Bru. More than 300 people have been charged in connection with the Capitol riot, including two Oregon brothers arrested last week. Authorities have said they believe at least 100 more people could face charges. The riot temporarily halted members of Congress from certifying the results of the 2020 Electoral College vote as they were forced to evacuate the House and Senate chambers while police struggled to hold back the intruders.
