Mediziner warnen vor einer Überlastung des Systems binnen vier Wochen.Erstmals seit Anfang Februar liegen in Deutschland wieder mehr als 4000 Corona-Patienten auf der Intensivstation. Heute am Ostersonntag 4051 wurden Menschen intensivmedizinisch behandelt, schreibt die Deutsche Interdisziplinäre Vereinigung für Intensiv- und Notfallmedizin (DIVI) in ihrem täglichen Corona-Bericht. Das sind 133 Patienten mehr als am Vortag. Gut die Hälfte der Covid-Patienten auf Intensivstation werden invasiv beatmet.Ihren Höchststand hatte die Zahl der Covid-Intensivpatienten Anfang Januar erreicht, damals waren es mehr als 5500 Fälle. Mit dem Abschwellen der zweiten Welle ging diese Zahl deutlich zurück, Anfang März waren es weniger als 3000 Patienten. Mit der steigenden Zahl an Neuinfektionen in der dritten Welle geht auch die Zahl der Intensivpatienten wieder nach oben.
