Teenager, 17, joined neo-Nazi group #FeuerkriegDivision after online ‘test’ where he expressed #hatred for #Jews and discussed making #ammunition that could ‘smash heads’, court hears – #terror #FKD

Court hears teenager tried to join group ‘that believes mass shootings are good’ Unnamed 17-year-old said he wanted to provoke a race war, prosecution alleges The defendant has already denied a single count of preparation of terrorist acts. A teenager joined neo-Nazi group Feuerkrieg Division after taking an online ‘test’ where he expressed hatred for Jews and discussed making ammunition that could ‘smash heads,’ a court has heard. The second day of a trial at Birmingham Crown Court was told the 17-year-old wanted to create a firearm capable of ‘smashing heads’ after joining the so-called Feuerkrieg Division (FKD) last summer. (…) Outlining discussions the boy had on neo-Nazi group chat forums, Mr Brook said they showed the defendant was offering ‘concrete, practical advice about not only converting a blank-firing gun, but making ammunition for it that will ‘smash heads’. The court heard the teenager was given an online test to ensure he was a ‘worthy’ FKD recruit, before being admitted to two private chat groups for UK-based extremists. During the test, Mr Brook said, the youth defined fascism as ‘the pursuit of restoring the natural order’ and said he wanted to provoke a race war.

The teenager was tested by the FKD over his proposed membership of the group and also two private chat groups for UK-based far right extremists, the court heard. Mr Brooks told jurors the group believed in violence, mass shootings and the breakdown of society. But even before joining, the youth was interested in whether “this was a serious group that could be involved in physical action in the real world, rather than being in his words ‘just an online thing’, Mr Brook added. During the test, the youth defined fascism as “the pursuit of restoring the natural order” and said he wanted to provoke a race war.

New neo-Nazi #terrorist groups will emerge as #government bans ‘not effective’, experts warn – #FKD #FeuerkriegDivision

Exclusive: Feuerkrieg Division was banned this month but its members are already active in different groups as extremists ‘evolve’ New neo-Nazi groups will continue to emerge as online communities of extremists adapt to government bans, it has been warned. Feuerkrieg Division (FKD) became the sixth far-right network to be proscribed as a terrorist group by the UK earlier this month. Like other emerging neo-Nazi groups, members communicated primarily online, sharing their ideology, propaganda, terror manuals and attack plots under pseudonyms in encrypted chats. Experts told The Independent that the model made it easy for extremists to “evolve” and move to new networks not covered by the government’s ban. Patrik Hermansson, a researcher at Hope Not Hate, said: “We will see new names, new groups. FKD have been shut down for months and it’s done very little to stop them.” He warned that existing members had not changed their views, adding: “Many have never met each other in real life, they’re from different countries, it’s complicated to prosecute.” Allegedly started by a 13-year-old Estonian boy in 2018, FKD members spanned more than a dozen countries and few met in person. The group announced its own dissolution in February and the Home Office admitted that members remain active through other channels.

Britain outlaws white-supremacist #FeuerkriegDivision as #terrorist group – #FKD_GB

The neo-Nazi organisation advocates the use of mass murder ‘in pursuit of an apocalyptic race war’ and UK supporters can be jailed for 10 years. Far-right group Feuerkrieg Division has been proscribed as a terrorist organisation by the UK, meaning that its supporters could face up to 10 years in jail. The British government described Feuerkrieg Division as a white supremacist group that advocated the use of mass murder and violence “in pursuit of an apocalyptic race war and promote their ideology online, often using social media platforms to target teens and people in their early 20s”. The group was founded in late 2018 and is active in North America and Europe. Last September UK police arrested a 16-year-old follower of the group on terrorism charges. In response Feuerkrieg Division disseminated a list of police buildings to be attacked and an image of a senior police officer with a gun pointed at his head and the words “race traitor” across his eyes. Home Secretary Priti Patel earlier this week asked Parliament for permission to proscribe the group. “This vile white-supremacist group advocates violence and seeks to sow division, targeting young and vulnerable people online,” she said.

UK government bans #Feuerkrieg Division, a vile white supremacist group linked to a sinister plot to blow up a gay bar – #terror

The UK government is set to ban Feuerkrieg Division, a vile white supremacist group that was linked to a plot to blow up a gay bar last year. Home secretary Priti Patel has asked parliament for permission to ban the group, which operates in North America and Europe and is known for its attempts to recruit teenagers and young people. Feuerkrieg Division was founded in 2018 and advocates for terrifying violence and mass murder as part of a “race war”. Home secretary Priti Patel called Feuerkrieg Division a ‘vile white supremacist group’. Under plans released by the Home Office today (July 13), those who join or encourage others to join Feuerkrieg Division will face up to 10 years in prison. “This vile white supremacist group advocates violence and seeks to sow division, targeting young and vulnerable people online,” Patel said in a statement. “I am determined to do everything I can to stop the spread of extreme ideologies that encourage and glorify terrorism, which is why I have taken action to proscribe this group.”

A neo-Nazi group that was led by a 13-year-old boy from Estonia should be banned as a terrorist organisation, the UK government has announced. Feuerkrieg Division, an international group that largely existed online, said earlier this year it had dissolved. But Home Secretary Priti Patel has now asked Parliament for permission to outlaw it in the UK. This would make it a criminal offence to be a member of or invite support for the group. Ms Patel said: “This vile white supremacist group advocates violence and seeks to sow division, targeting young and vulnerable people online.” A Home Office statement said the organisation advocated the “use of violence and mass murder in pursuit of an apocalyptic race war”. The statement added that, in retaliation for the arrest of one of its British followers last year, the group distributed a list of police buildings and an image of a senior police officer with a gun to his head and the words “race traitor” across his eyes, urging followers to carry out attacks. FKD was created in late 2018 and sought recruits online, particularly through its channels on encrypted messaging applications. The group’s ideology promoted the idea that society will collapse into racial warfare – thus opening the way for the creation of a neo-Nazi state – and that this process should be accelerated through terrorist activity.

Vegas man to plead guilty in plot to bomb synagogue, bar – #terror #atomwaffenDivision #awd #FeuerkriegDivision

A white supremacist will plead guilty to a federal weapons charge in a case alleging he planned to bomb a Las Vegas synagogue or shoot people at a fast food restaurant or a bar catering to LGBTQ customers, court records show. Conor Climo’s court-appointed attorneys did not immediately respond Friday to email messages about his signed plea agreement filed Jan. 17 in U.S. District Court in Las Vegas. Climo, 24, is due to plead guilty Feb. 10 and will face about three years in prison, according to the agreement. He will avoid trial and have to undergo mental health treatment and electronic computer monitoring during supervised release after prison. Climo was arrested Aug. 8 and remains in federal custody on a charge of possessing “firearms, specifically destructive devices.” He could have faced up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine if convicted. A spokeswoman for U.S. Attorney Nicholas Trutanich declined to comment about the development in one of several recent criminal cases against members of a far-right extremist group. Climo identified himself as a member of the Feuerkrieg Division, an offshoot of Atomwaffen, a U.S.-based neo-Nazi group that has been linked to several killings, including the 2017 shooting deaths of two men at an apartment in Tampa, Florida. A U.S. magistrate judge who rejected Climo’s bid for release last August said the group “encourages, and may even commit, violent attacks on people of the Jewish religion, homosexuals, African Americans and federal infrastructures.”

‘A New Image of Terror and Dread’: The Significance Of Dark Foreigner’s Arrest – #terror #awd #atomwaffendivision

On 5 July 2023, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) arrested Patrick Gordon Macdonald, known in accelerationist circles by his digital alias, Dark Foreigner. Macdonald worked for years as a crucial neo-Nazi propagandist and played an instrumental role in crafting the visual aesthetic that, at one point, defined militant accelerationist networks like Atomwaffen Division, The Base, Sonnenkrieg Division, Feuerkrieg Division, and the Order of Nine Angles (O9A) offshoot, Tempel ov Blood. Macdonald’s infamous propaganda, designed to incite others to violence, amplified the preexisting violent narratives in militant accelerationist propaganda and bolstered recruitment efforts for less effective militant accelerationist networks. In essence, his contributions were a critical mechanism that made accelerationist recruitment and propaganda efforts more capable and sophisticated.  Macdonald’s arrest signals a clear change in how Canadian and Western law enforcement are approaching militant accelerationism; the RCMP stated that this “is the first [case] in Canada in which an individual advocating a violent far-right ideology has been charged with both terrorism and hate propaganda.” According to the RCMP, Macdonald “allegedly participated in and facilitated the creation, production and distribution of three terrorist propaganda videos”—material the RCMP claims “was intended to promote the group and recruit members, and encourages the commission of terrorist activities.” Dark Foreigner has long been a subject of focus and monitoring for researchers at the Accelerationism Research Consortium (ARC), and our findings support the allegations of criminal wrongdoing by the RCMP.  In 2021, VICE news reporters identified Dark Foreigner as Macdonald and articulated how he had become the “chief propagandist” for Atomwaffen Division, a listed terrorist organisation in Canada. At the peak of his popularity, his aesthetic style and hateful artwork became synonymous with the collective visual branding of militant accelerationism. Notably, the Dark Foreigner persona never hid its ideologically motivated activity, just the creator’s true identity.
